We’re High on Cotton Clouds and Don’t Want to Return

Everything about Kelli-Leigh’s new single, Cotton Clouds, simulates the almost intoxicating emotional delight that comes with newfound love. While the artist acknowledges that this feeling is fleeting through the song’s somewhat contemplative bridge, they revert back to the same gleeful melody and groove in the chorus, as if allowing themselves to revel and to get lost in this experience. What makes this song one of our favorite songs of this month is that Leigh invites us to join the experience. Within those three and a half minutes, it feels like she’s addressing us directly to stay with her atop those cotton clouds. And she manages to do that so well with her powerful vocals and incredible vocal runs!
